Selling Your Products And Services Online
Every year, consumers spend billions of dollars shopping online, many of them purchasing products you already carry. If you're a "brick and mortar" business, you've likely felt the impact that the internet has had on some local retail merchants. Even though it sometimes costs more, the convenience of buying online from a merchant a thousand miles away beats the hassle of driving across town, fighting for parking, walking, dealing with crowds and standing in lines.
A clean, professionally designed company website offers new visitors a comprehensive look at your business and product line. For your current customers, you can offer the courtesy of shopping ahead, checking for specials or even purchasing from you online and picking up their merchandise at their convenience. Harness the awesome power of the internet by placing your best selling merchandise on your very own E-Commerce Site.
Accept Major Credit Cards Online
Through the services of PayPal, any merchant, regardless of size, can accept major credit card payments online. There's no need to open a costly merchant account. PayPal processes the card for you and delivers your payment and order information to you instantly. You don't have to mess around with the credit card information because you never even see it. All you see is your customer's order and your money!
Sales and payments go instantly and directly to you! PayPal does charge a small fee for processing the payment, but it is still more cost effective than a merchant account. If you already have a merchant account, just let us know and we will work with your information when building your site.
Additional Charges Apply To Site Owned Merchant Accounts
For Shopping Cart Software Installation, Configuration and Maintenance.
Convenient UPS Online PrePay Shipping Center
By using PayPal as the payment processor for your website, you will be automatically linked to an online shipping center that has been established between UPS and PayPal. You can process shipments and print prepaid shipping labels and have the shipping charge deducted from your PayPal account balance.
If you aren't familiar with PayPal, you can check out their website at www.paypal.com. With a PayPal account, you can make payments to your suppliers, collect money from your customers, ship and pay with UPS, and shop worldwide with a PayPal debit MasterCard, all from the same account! We highly recommend their services to all of our clients because of the proven track record they have shown us in the three years we have been a customer of theirs.
Selling Your Merchandise On The Internet
If you have products or services that you are already offering in the "brick and mortar" world, chances are they will do well on the internet also. Even if you choose to not sell online, a website is a great way to allow your customers to browse your site "window shop" prior to visiting you in person.
Until your site becomes busy, it's a good idea to start out with only 10-20 of your best selling products. As traffic grows, your customers will let you know what to add and delete. You can add or edit products at any time during the month for an extra charge.
Remember: You'll eventually begin to receive orders that will have to be shipped to other parts of the country, possibly the world. Keep shipping (weight, packing materials, labor, etc.) in mind when choosing what to sell.
Special Charges On E-Commerce Web Sites Prices
In addition to the web design charge, E-Commerce sites incur additional charges per item being sold. The Deluxe E-Commerce site will hold up to 100 products and cost $15 per item being offered for sale. Up to three variations of the same product may be offered and considered one item (size, color, etc). The Super E-Commerce Site is for merchants who wish to sell more than 100 items and need a lot of room to spread out. Products for the Super E-Comm sites are installed for $10 per item, with no limit to the number of items that can be added.
